Today we arrived at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. BUT....one of the most exciting things of the entire adventure came before we got off the ship when Brad and Oliver took the plunge on the "AquaMouse!" Especially because it was not very warm, they clearly were the most adventurous and brave of the family!
Around 11 am the five of us headed off the ship and made our way off the ship and onto the island. The "good news" was that in the ship's last three voyages this was the first time they were able to stop here due to the weather. The bad news is that because it was windy and chilly (barely hit 70) nearly all the on-island excursions were cancelled. This didn't really impact us because we planned to just walk around briefly, enjoy the provided lunch and head back to the ship.
Later in the afternoon the boys did the slide two more times, even though it was much chillier - a good Dad our son is :) Dinner was without a show tonight and there was no live show this evening as there was a "Pirate Party" on the pool deck. Instead we opted to watched the new Disney animated movie "Wish" on the big screen in the theatre. A WONDERFUL movie that so reminded me of the great Disney films from years gone past!
Tomorrow we are at sea all day until arriving back at Port Canaveral on Friday morning, so it will be a full day of on-board adventures!
